COURSE OVERVIEW

In this course, learners will develop a strong understanding of area and how it is used to measure the amount of space covered by two-dimensional geometric figures.

Learners will learn how to calculate the area of common shapes, select and apply the correct area formulas, determine unknown dimensions, work with compound figures, and solve practical problems involving area.

The course includes video lessons, worked examples, quizzes and a mastery test to strengthen learners’ measurement and problem-solving skills and prepare them for Grade 8 CAPS Mathematics assessments.
