COURSE OVERVIEW

In this course, learners will develop a strong understanding of volume and how it is used to measure the amount of space occupied by three-dimensional objects.

Learners will learn how to identify the dimensions of 3D objects, select and apply the correct volume formulas, calculate the volume of common prisms, determine unknown dimensions, and solve practical problems involving volume.

The course includes video lessons, worked examples, quizzes and a mastery test to strengthen learners’ measurement, spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills and prepare them for Grade 8 CAPS Mathematics assessments.

By the end of this course, learners should be able to:

• Determine unknown dimensions when the volume is given.
• Convert between appropriate units of volume when required.

• Solve Grade 8 CAPS exam-style questions involving volume.
