COURSE OVERVIEW

This course develops learners’ ability to calculate and apply perimeter in a variety of two-dimensional geometric figures.

Learners will revise the concept of perimeter before progressing to regular and irregular polygons, missing dimensions, algebraic perimeter problems and composite figures. They will also apply perimeter concepts to practical and exam-style situations.

Particular emphasis is placed on identifying the outside boundary of a figure, selecting the correct measurements, working with appropriate units and developing systematic problem-solving strategies.

Through structured video lessons, worked examples, quizzes, exam-style questions and a mastery assessment, learners will strengthen the measurement skills required for Grade 9 examinations and FET Phase Mathematics.
