OUTCOMES, EVENTS & SAMPLE SPACES
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course develops learners’ understanding of outcomes, events and sample spaces. Learners will identify possible outcomes of probability experiments, construct sample spaces and use systematic methods to represent possible outcomes.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
- Identify possible outcomes of an experiment
- Distinguish between outcomes and events
- Determine sample spaces
- Represent sample spaces systematically
- Identify favourable outcomes
- Apply these concepts to probability problems
